>Speaking of your significant other, what *is* his deal with the UT? He is by about anyone's definition a FoxPro guru. But the UT? No way, says Andy. I was a holdout myself but compared to Andy my resistance was meek. Why won't he swim where the water is warmer?

>Andy is quite active in a lot of other places. You can find him on the MSDN Visual FoxPro forum (where he is a moderator) and Foxite mostly.

>Why doesn't he play on the UT? A couple of reasons - he does not like what he considers to be the high noise to signal ratio here. He also does not want to participate in any forum where it is not completely free - The fact the premiere membership costs money is a turn-off for him.
I think you know I meant no disrespect to Andy. I liked his posts on the FoxForum long before he was a name in the FoxPro world. He just made sense and did his homework. Just some bloke from England. You are absolutely right that he has been very active in other places since then. Just not in the one where most FoxPro developers and Microsofties turn to first for their morning news. The moving finger writes....
Here is one question you might ask Andy if UT premiere membership (which I do not have, BTW) is a show stopper for him. Was Compuserve free? It wasn't for me before it was comped.
Please urge him to come back to the FoxPro community.
