You may be really out of luck at this point. If they told the VFP app that is was ok to convert the foxuser file, the FPW app will never be able to read it. You need to set up a config.fpw file, include it in your VFP project and put it it:
resource=vfpfoxuser.dbf
this will let the VFP app have it's own resource file, and the old app can use it's foxuser.dbf. Hopefully they can restore it from a backup.

After running the setup for the VFP app, and I try to run it, I receive an error stating that there is some kind of version conflict. Is this because there is a copy of FP 2.6 already running on that computer? I haven't ran into this situation before.
