No, I do not want to bid on your eBay offering. But I do remember Ken Levy's post after the big earthquake in the early 1990s. He was pre-Microsoft and living in Van Nuys, right near the epicenter. He posted a report that would have been the envy of about anyone on the L.A. Times staff. One of the little details that made it tick was that almost everything bounced out of his kitchen cupboards and none of his four Fox Software coffee mugs were broken.
