I am working on a GridView control that is bound to an ObjectDataSource on a web form.

In the UpdateMethod of the ObjectDataSource I have set an object method from another class that updates the backend database. The signature of the method is a parameter for each column in the GridView.

My question is: How are the parameter values of the UpdateMethod assigned from the GridView? Are there resources explaining how this works? This seems like total magic to me.
