I am sorry you have such a poor opinion of our country. I think you would be surprised at how many here actually share the majority of your opinions, and some even all of them. Most Americans are divided on the issue of divorce and same sex marriages. There are many who do not believe in one or the other or even both. Most I think though have no problem with either one. It often boils down to a religious opinion on those two issues. I think the reality tv shows have presented a skewed picture of the U.S. to the rest of the world. Everyone seems to think that what they see on those shows is everyday life for all of us. Simply not true.

>>>>>>USA is opportunity country... :)

>>>>>PMFJI, depending on who are you talking. And there are a lot of people will say 'not so much.' Maybe there are a lot of opportunities in the USA but that doesn't mean that you can't have it in Turkey. Maybe the Net Pay is not the same, but the feeling of fulfillment is equal. IMHO.

>>>>In Turkey that's not only problem less pay...
>>>>- there are less jobs
>>>>- there are less quality jobs
>>>>- a few companies provide special health insurance, government insurance is terrible.
>>>>- In USA you can decide after 40 for educate new university and you can change your job, but in there you cannot do that, because you cannot live with part-time jobs...
>>>
>>>Are you saying that Turkey is even worst than our country? Based on some International Economic Agencies:
>>>- Philippines is the 3rd most corrupt country in Asia
>>>- No. 2 at the bottom when it comes to GDP-GNP growth among ASEAN countries
>>>- we have the worst politicians trying fool us; todate there are 2-3M high school graduates who were found to be unfit to enter college because of poor quality of education
>>>- our government hospitals don't have enough medicines to take care of patients and so if you're sick don't go in these hospitals because you will get worst.
>>>- Less jobs
>>>- Less quality jobs
>>>
>>>To name a few.

>>>Our motto is "to create opportunities if you don't find one." We do not just complain but tried to find ways to make a difference. The problem with us is that, in our own land, we lack discipline but if the same people goes to other countries they exercise discipline. What's that? I find it awkward. My take is that if someone believes he can succeed in other countries, he can also succeed in her own country if she applies the same discipline. The process maybe more painful but just the same, success is achievable. My model country is Japan. Japan was totally devastated after World War II, but the Japanese stood their ground, united in one goal, exercised discipline and after 20+ years they became no. 1 country in Asia.
>>>
>>>Maybe it will not happen in the whole country but at least it can happen in my family and in my community that I belong. And it's happening...

>>It hardly needs mentioning that Japan rose from the ashes of WW II with significant help from the U.S. Same with Germany. Within a generation they were our economic equals. I am not pro-American in a tone deaf way but to me that exemplifies what a great country we are.
>
>Yes, U.S. had helped Japan. But how many countries had duplicated what Japan did with the help of the U.S. without the DISCIPLINE, UNITY within? Our country is one, who in decades past has been receiving help from the U.S. but still economically down and politically in chaos. Japan did it because of the two main factors: UNITY and DISCIPLINE.

>>Do you ever think of immigrating? There are lots of Filipinos here and most of the ones I know are successful.
>
>I will be hypocrite if I will not say that immigrating doesn't come to my mind. And it still is but first, I have to think 1000 times because I want to be successful not only in the financial area of life but in other areas as well: spiritually, family, socially... If I will be financially successful but not in other areas especially family aspect, forget it. I have heard complaints that in the USA, people are successful financially but morally and spiritually bankrupt because of the culture. People are becoming very much career oriented to the point of breaking-up family values. One of our relative who, from time to time goes into vacation here once said that majority of the kids their don't even know how to respect their parents and elders. An American preacher said one time, "In the US, when teen age kids are going out of their house, the usual words that parents would say is 'Don't forget your PILLS honey...'"
>
>I am not saying that our country is holier than USA, for we are all sinners, but at least we are being proud of our family ties and values here. Most of the Kids here respect their parents and elders. And our laws is not allowing DIVORCE or Same sex marriage.
>
>I am a strong believer of John Maxwell'S definition of SUCCESS: Knowing Your Purpose in Life; Growing to reach your Maximum Potential; and Sowing Seeds that benefit Others.
>
>If part of my purpose in life is to immigrate why not? And to immigrate means I need to Grow their to reach my maximum potential and to sow seeds their that will benefit others.
