The first time I met Randy was on a bus at the Seattle airport, before he joined Microsoft. We were circling around looking for Tamar. Randy was the first one to spot her -- "There she is, over there." What I mainly remember is he had brought a box of diskettes from the previous beta (2.6). It was quite a collection. I thought it was cool that he wanted to recycle them instead of just pitching them.
