I didn't get an answer for this particular problem; the First option on the Conenction Designer didn't work without the prompt to "Select Database" popping up each time. The only way this finally worked last night was when I clicked the "Connect String" option and then put in the options, such as:

DSN=EYESCAPE; UID; PWD; DATABASE=ESC

Once I typed in the above string, then I selected the data source, EYESCAPE.DSN, the ODBC Microsoft Access Setup form appeared, showing the database path. I then clicked on the OK button, verified the connection, and then received a Message stating "Conenction succeeded." I noticed that the Connect string had changed from what I put in to something quite long, as follows:
DBQ=C:\Program Files\Synemed\EyeScapeNE\esc.mdb;DefaultDir=C:\Program Files\Synemed\EyeScapeNE;Driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)};DriverId=281;FIL=MS Access;FILEDSN=C:\Program Files\Common Files\ODBC\Data Sources\Eyescape.dsn;MaxBufferSize=2048;Max
In other words, NO, I didn't get the CONNECTION DESIGNER to work the way I wanted it to work, so I went a little different route with a Connect String and YES, that did work.

Thanks,
Cecil
