>I disagree that Iraq was no better or worse than other similar dictatorships. In many human rights issues, that is true, torture and fear too. Howevever, Iraq used chemical weapons on Iran and its own people. No other country has done that as far as I know.

Nazi Germany killed German Jews, German Catholics, German Protestants , as well as so many other people of different races, nationalities, and religions. Carbon monoxide, and a cyanide-based insecticide were used in the extermenation camps. Some accounts say that as many as 14 million were killed. 6 million Jews died and the other 8 million are of no consequence.

There are things going on if Africa that we do not discuss. Millions have died but little is said or done. It is a way of life and since it is Africa, the rest of the world looks but does little.

>>>My point was that Iraq is a medieval society. They were before we went in and will be after we leave.

>>Actually, they were a secular dictatorship, no better or worse than a dozen others in South America and elsewhere, that a certain north-American country propped up over decades.
