You can't 'run' a vfp app in another application unless there's some special compiler that executes the code outside of Visual FoxPro. Visual FoxPro can be automated through COM but AFAIK there's no way to contain the UI in a way that is embedded.

Accessing functionality bit by bit through COM is one option, but this isn't 'running the application' as part of another.

This is of course is the big pipe dream right - I just want to take my application as is and run it on X where X is a Web Browser, Linux, Apple etc.

VFP is tightly coupled to Windows and to the VFP environment and while somebody certainly could duplicate the compiler functionality is this what you'd really want? What makes VFP great is the VFP engine, the compiler and the stability which is the result of 20 years of work. Would you really trust another company to duplicate that in a copy cat environment?

Ideally, they would like for this to appear as a just another module of their application, as opposed to a seperate stand-alone application.
