Yes we have global warming, I'm not sure how much, but sometimes we have warming trends, other times (see NewsWeek 1975 Global Cooling) we have cooling cycles.

The carbon footprinting scam was started by Al Gore and his friends. They own the companies that you would purchase the "conscience credits" from. As for reducing their CO2 emissions, they could care less. If you are rich enough, you can pollute all you want, so long as you pay into a company that you already own (isn't that the way a savings account works?). Mr Gore is a b_llshirt artist and a purveyor of koolaid.
