Since I really don't have the time to exersize your suggestion in .NET, I have to do with examples written in .NET by others, and I cannot come to the same conclusion you are making. Now that might be because the other might be lacking your skills, but I guess the difference aren't that great in practise anyways, esspecially for the the types of applications we are writing.
