Yes, true, I'm sure, however human nature is the same and it will be the same for the new guys. They will get invested in a technology, they will have the greater responsibilities that come as you age, meaning less time for learning something new, and when the new stuff comes along (assuming the asteroid doesn't come along first <g>), they will also be facing the same choices. Some will stick with the old, some will move to the new, some will find new careers, just as it is happening now. Oh, and some will be gazillionaires and won't have to worry with these humdrum decisions. <bg>

>The general consensus was that you should never be married to the software tool. The next generation of software developers has grown up with this current environment and don't have any problem with it. And bottom line, they are more then happy to push you and I out of the way.
