Unfortunately in dealing with the "public" there is architecture and marketecture. People often will buy a fancy looking thing that does not work as well as a well built GUI that is not "sexy".
As they say in sales, sell the sizzle, not the steak. Of course there are those pragmatic types who will reject you because you are selling sizzle. They are the 'where's the beef' types that like battleship gray but solid.
Long winded way of saying you can't plesae everyone. That is why I like the VMP resizeable windows where the objects all stretch with the window. Some of my clients don't like a "big" screen to fill their high resolution monitor and others (sight impared?) who want a 10 field screen to fill their 19" monitor they are running at 1600 x 1200!
Worst thing I have ever seen in VFP is some client wanting the screens to look like AS400 old green screens ... not hard to do but UGLY! But to the client that was what he was used to, so he got what he was willing to pay for.
