Maybe you're right. For a FoxPro guy he was very early to the table with VB and SQL Server. He was doing stuff with SQL Server in VFP apps when that was still pretty esoteric.
That said, Robert was an extremely good FoxPro developer before descending into management at Microsoft <g>. At one point three of the best FoxPro programmers I have known all worked at the same company in Chicago -- Robert, Dan Freeman, and Walt Grogan.
