Since I just restarted my Linux quest I am looking at Red Hat, but find so much more is out there now ....

For tools I am looking for open source tools that go across multiple systems, like Python and Dabo which are on almost everything.

What irks me with the whole thing is none of these tools, not even .Net come anywheer close to the ease of rapid development and maintainablilty that I find in VFP.

However ... things will change as more of the VFP guys get involved in the cumbersome environments and bring our unorthodox thinking with us.

As I go along I will "report" on the UT things I find.

My new looking started the day after the announcement but I was in Texas that week and drove back to Florida (and cought bronchitus on the way). Yeah, I know, bronchitus is called the disease of fatigue ... jumps on people who have pushed themselvs past the limit. I am kind of a red line guy, so ... been there too much!
