Mike,

>I was not there so do not know what you posted was privileged and what was not. There seemed to be an awful lot of information about unreleased products. If it was no longer under NDA then I apologize.

There was lots to write about because there is LOTS to grok in the Orcas March CTP, which is now all public. As far as I know, I didn't talk about anything that is beyond Orcas -- Craig has dropped more hints than me about post-Orcas features, and he's been quite discreet and not given any "giveaway" details. :-)

Microsoft has been publicly showing and talking in detail about new features in Orcas, such as LINQ, at Tech-Ed, PDC, and other conferences, as well as on MSDN in multiple articles. Some of the other details I spoke about, such as the XML embedding in VB.NET with the TEXTMERGE-like expression evaluation, have also been shown publicly for a good while. Here is a good link on MSDN about the XML feature, in an article by 'Softies Erik Meijer, Amanda Silver, and Paul Vick (the section "Deep XML Support"):

(Sorry, I had to PRE-tag the link because the parens confused the UT parser, so you'll have to paste it in the browser).

Bottom line is that there is *always* lots of information made public by Microsoft in advance about unreleased products. :-)

>And what did Craig do and say the Cutter's dinner? <g> Let's start some real rumors!

Sorry, can't talk about anything that he did or did not do. I can neither confirm nor deny that he was on the table -- or not. (How's that for a double-disclaimer?)

BTW, for anyone letting your imagination run wild, Craig did NOT have a lampshade on his head or get on the table -- at least not before I left the dinner for the airport.
