Oy!! Here we go again. OK, fine, fine, I don't really mind. This way it just takes a bit more effort to mine useful information in these threads. These are movies, for Pete's sake, development tools are real life (for us gearheads).

But as my teenage daughter would say: WHAT---Ever!!!!!

>Can't be, by definition. I'm not a dissenter within a religion, claiming that the dogma got a few details wrong... IOW, heresy is just too narrowly scoped :).

>>As a sci-fi guy I'm sure you know the same writer also wrote "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?", the book "Blade Runner" was based on, and "We Can Remember It For You Wholesale", the basis of "Total Recall".

>Out of which only the "Blade runner" was on par with the PKD's opus, "Paycheck" wasn't bad (maybe that was the other movie?), and "Total recall" would have been a much better movie without the Guvernator.
>
>And even the "Blade runner" was only loosely (or remotely) based on the "Androids", just like the "Scanner darkly" got about two minutes more than half of the story, but got the spirit right. The other movies were just Hollywood.

>Still waiting for the next good SF movie from the straight line "Forbidden planet", "Space Odyssey", "Solaris" (the real one, not the recent), "Stalker", "Blade Runner", "Dune" (director's cut only), "kin - dza - dza", --- next?
