>I have a bad file in a bunch, so I'm trying to copy them individually to the CD using the default burner that comes with XP. Not so easy. It wants to keep recreating the file list and copy whatever files I've already created...or something like that; it's hard to tell really. Why can't I just keep adding files? Is there a free burner software out there that can handle this? I don't know which file is bad (won't copy and stops the batch burn), so I need to one at a time.

Ok, found CDBurner XP Pro, which is working now with more information as it copies each file. Would like to know the nuts-and-bolts of how XP handles copying to a CD-RW though.
