>The letter K was brought into Spanish from other languages. Does that mean Spanish is polluted?
A little I think. Just like our language tagalog. Filipinos don't speak pure tagalog anymore. It's already taglish - TagalogEnglish because our alphabet already contained C and other english alphabet. Oftentimes, Filipinos already speak or write sentences which are composed of words from two different language. I believe in innovations. It's just like the Bible which has different versions: King James, NIV, American Standard, etc. There is innovation in english language but it is still english.
>If the VB team implements something in the language and the C# team does not, it does not mean VB is polluted. It means the C# team thinks that language enhancement would be polluting C#.
There is always a consequence. If a feature hurts a language especially its specific purposes, it carries pollution. I have heard that VB is geared towards RAD while C# is for the language purist. So it's but logical for me to conclude and think that VB team decided to implement the feature regardless of it's consequences but C# team stood their ground.
