Overall I think I agree - Fox is faster at least for the visual stuff. But that is a fault of Dabo - nobody has made any efforts to speed it up. But the over all speed is acceptable.

I.e. I have a VFP form (lan dbf's) that takes more than a few seconds to open. I have written a similar form in Dabo and I would say opening the form adds 1-2 seconds more. (that's just a guess). But accessing data is the same between the forms and if I had to guess I'd say the data side was faster for the Dabo form. It really is not fair to compare the data side of stuff because the Dabo stuff is using Postgres and the VFP is using large dbf's. The data structure is the same (copied the lan stuff into the postgres engine).

But like I said Dabo is more than acceptable. I truly doubt any of my customers would say anything about performance.
