Hi Chris,
Just my 2 cents. I had the similar issue when was working with DOS FP 2.5a. I had a function myfunc in the file myfunc.prg and the first line in myfunc.prg was
FUNCTION myfunc
When I commented that line, the performance speeded up drastically. Sorry, but I've never checked this fact in Visual FP.
