>>>>True, I doubt he is a math major. However, we are supposed to have an even better team next year according to ESPN and other sources. We've got a junior college transfer coming and three or four other studs. Calipari is doing an excellent job. I'm happy with our team getting this far, this year, especially after losing three starters last year. That says a lot about Calipari's coaching and his recruiting as well.

>>>I have heard Calipari's name linked to the Iowa coaching position, but that might have just been somebody blabbing. I have also heard Bruce Pearl and Majerus also.

>>He basically said he was a punk! He said he was "overrated." Dumb, dumber and dumbest.

>>Calipari's name has also been linked to Kentucky, but I don't think he's going anywhere. When they did his contract last year (NC was trying to lure him away), they structured it so that he would have to stay about 7 years to get an annuity that is worth a bunch of million. I doubt he'll throw that away. But, you know what they say, "money talks and ...."

>That's right... I remember hearing his name about Kentucky, too. I think he is in a good spot now, but I bet that he has a long-term goal of coaching in a major conference.

He's already coached in a major conference. He took Maryland to the final four, maybe even final. He also coached in the NBA. He wants to win a national championship, and says he thinks he can get it done here. A lot of the pundits are saying next year will be a good chance because of the talent on board, and those that are signed.
