I'm not worried about the web interface because it works like the current VFP interfaces. It's OK if you want forms etc.. but you end up with coding much more xHTML than you think. Mod-python is one of the many interfaces available.
The Dabo project is currently three years old and the library is very stable. What is still changing is the IDE. In fact in next few months I think there will be a major change to the IDE. Currently I think there are about 10 developers working on Dabo and I don't know how many users. But the leaders are Paul and Ed.
The libraries are from Python (10 years old) and I doubt anyone has more libraries or interfaces. That includes .Net. Name the requirement someone has already done it.
I like the idea of VFP.Net but it suffers from the same issues that Dabo has - very few developers. But I'm sure it can be done - IronPython.Net is a good example of it being possible.
In my case I like the VFP programming style (edit - test - edit more) that is Python. Dabo just provides all the methods I have come to rely on Cursors,Scan, Replace, along with direct SQL access (that includes SQL run on Cursors).
What really amazes me is how quickly I can build forms and I'm hand coding. Any-how, I understand your decision and thanks for reviewing the screencast. Maybe, someday you will need to run on Linux or Mac and revist.
