Right now I'm studying and learning the VS IDE, VB.NET, ASP.NET, AJAX, etc. I don't have a pressing need to create a .NET app just yet so I'm taking my time to evaluate the frameworks. I don't see doing anything major until VS 2007 is out.

Of course that then I started studying VB.NET and its friends and trying to accomplish the same things I did with VFP. This has been a nice trip.

>>Ideablade is more money (they do have a $1000 off special for March though) but more important to me is productivity. I am looking for the framework that will allow me to get up to speed as fast as possible - which is still a long time given learning VS 2005/7, VB/C#.net, new component libraries, etc. In the end it seems like it is 1-2 year project to be able to turn out apps in a reasonable amount of time.

>>>Hope it helps.
