My base has required that I move my present user from one domain to another. The problem is that their directions are a little unclear on what will happen to all the settings that I presently have for my current user.

They basically indicate that I need to change my IP addresses and DNS to point to a new set. They also indicate that I need to change my present domain from 'cninmigrate' to 'cranrdte'.

Then they indicated that when I log in for the first time a user profile will be created for me under the new domain.

I was then to log into my computer as the admin account and copy my present profile to the new profile that was just created.

I do not think that this will give me an exact copy of my present working environment. This is a developers environment and as such I have several drive mappings, several scheduled tasks, several ODBC connections, several Dreamweaver sites that I work from, several desk top shortcuts, etc..

Does anyone know if Copying a profile will give me an exact copy of my working environment or is my base basically causing me to lose it all when I do the conversion?

Also if the above directions do not get me an exact copy, then what is the best way to move a Windows XP Pro user from one Domain to another withour losing any parts of a developers environment.

TIA
