I'm still looking into encryption. Sounds like Hallogram doesn't hear much from Xitech but does receive product from them. Does anyone have any experience with using Window EFS for encryption? Wouldn't this be a cheaper and more transparent solution than encrypting data at the table level? Advantages or disadvantages?

Tim

>Just wondering if anyone is using encryption at the table level. I have a client who had had a security breach and now needs to encrypt their VFP tables. Because of the amount of coding changes, it would be cost prohibitive to start encrypting only at the field level, so we are looking at encrypting tables.

I haven't received any response to emails sent to Hallogram or Xitech. There is no evaluation software (although, they say there is a money back guarantee). Is this product dead? The Xitech website doesn't look like it's been updated in quite awhile. I have seen references that there haven't been any changes in the software in a while either. I don't want to buy a product that isn't going to have ongoing support.
