> What's wrong with aspirin? A daily low-dose aspirin could give you many extra years of fishing and enjoying yourself.

I know a few people who are recommended a daily dose of Aspirin by their doctor. The doses prescribed these days are a lot more sensible than in years gone by. My Grandmother was prescribed Aspirin as part of her Arthritis treatment (30 years ago) and found it to cause more problems in the long run - but that was down to the repeated high dosage.

I'm diabetic, so I have no other choice than to take the medicines prescribed to me - but if I had a choice I would prefer to not take them.

That goes for bacon too ;) (There are far too many chemicals in our foods these days)
