You should go to New Zealand sometime. The brown trout are so renowned fishermen from all over the world go there to try to catch them. You can't buy them in a restaurant. If you catch one and bring it in they will cook it for you. Meanwhile, venison if freely available on the menu. With NZ being an island nation deer have no natural predators and there is an excess of them.
