Since 2003 till last week, I was teaching Delphi, VB and VFP. Around 95% of my students prefer the fox. Why? Simple, they like and application which allow you to setup an little app in few minutes, using databases, and with few lines of code.
We graduate around 200 students per year, 40% of then still use VFP. It means 80 VFP guys per year, 1 city, from just a small University... Guadalajara maybe has 20 Universitys (Not the big ones) and lots of little specialized schools for programmers.
By other way, be carefull with the price. It is said Mexico is Piracy Paradise. Main reason? A great assembled PC is Cheaper than Win XP and Office. Could be a great deal to buy yor software via Credit Card and difered payments (12, 18 months).
But if you can offer a software that gave me the 90% of VFP potential and can run in Linux... Get me in your customer list...
Greetings!
