The scariest moment of my life was when I was feeding my infant daughter a banana, letting her nibble it while I held it. My attention was momentarily drawn to the TV and when I turned back to her she had sucked the banana out of the skin and it was lodged whole in her mouth and down her throat. I banged her back and she ejected it. She cried of course but that was the least of my concerns. I shudder to recall that day. So many ways to die ...
