>>>>>It isn't quite as extreme here but I also have piles of books. One of the ongoing projects is to box up the ones that are read and no longer needed and trudge them over to the town library. Without question several hundred pounds of them have gone that way already, hopefully to more deserving homes.

>>>>I totally agree. What's the point in keeping hundreds of books that will never be read agan?
>>>
>>>Because you don't know which you'll want to read again. Also, I tend to go grab a book to find something in it. Also, some of what I have is now out of print.

>>And, I totally agree with you! The last time Angela & I moved we had close to 70 boxes of books. About half are geology texts from our earlier careers (luckily those books remain relevent much longer than programming texts!). The rest are books which I might read again. I reread favorite books many times.

>>The same with music CDs. I still own almost every CD I've ever purchased ( and alot of vinyl that never made it onto CD).

>I own ALL, except for one, which I sold on - The Beatles White Album (orig. in embossed sleeve). Go figure. I guess I just got sick of playing the 4 sides over and over.

>My vinyl collection still exceded my CDs (mind you, I'm loathe to buy the same again on CD)

>>OTH, I rarely rewatch movies/DVDs. I only OWN 1 DVD (Monty Python and the Holy Grail) which I do got back to at least once a year.

>If you're to pick a Python movie to rewatch, surely it's Life of Brian - still as funny today as when it was first released (and I went twice in the 1st week to see it)
