>It is all about choice. Books, music, and other things are how I spend my free time. I do watch tv but only about 8 to 10 hours a week. This library has grown with me and for now is a place that I enjoy. When I pass on I am certain my three sons who share my joy of reading will be happy to divy up the library at that point. Even my daughter might get into the act for the books on programming I have.

Fair enough. I'm just rattling your chain. Believe me, I've had members of my family hassling me about hoarding in the past. We happen to have a bookshelf/space crisis in our house at the moment, just with the folders of admin: u/t/ bills, investment info, mortgage info, car, gas, etc., as well as my missus has bookshelves full of her teaching resource material (I was bugging her last week that it's just been festering on those shelves for years and is never referenced).
