That's basically my entire point. Learn the other tools so that you can actually make an informed decision about which tool(s) are the best for the job. When VFP is the best tool for the job, use it. My hope is that by the time VFP goes away it will no longer be the best tool for the job because all of the features that make VFP so great right now will be available in the other tools. If not, then I'd probably go to Delphi.
