Actually, there are certain concepts to complete the conversion. For example, buffering is totally new for 2.6 and if you converted app 'as is' and then try to add some new features like buffering, then the whole app will be exposed to troubles. IMO, the bottom line: either you convert and don't touch it anymore, or if you want to touch (enhance etc.) then convert from scratch (from raw data level).
