>>So, how to do this? How do I control the class editor to tell it which page of a pageframe to bring up, and which control on it should be selected. Or, alternately, how do I set the value of the top combo in the PEM window?

I'm lucky this time - I only need to visit the textboxes, combos and checkboxes on this form.

I've solved this temporarily by just displaying the .name and .parent.name of the control, which was enough for me. As usual, I'm writing disposable builders - few lines of code which applies to the many similar controls on a couple of very busy forms. They do the job even unfinished; any glitches they have are not worth fixing, the time to fix would be longer than handling these few exceptions muscularly (i.e. using the mouse :).
