>My question is...can I access an SQL 2005 server database over the internet by it's IP address using a Visual Foxpro 9 SP1 desktop application as the client? I don't want to have to get into writing HTML or Javascript or any of that if I can avoid it. I would much prefer to just set up an SQL Server in my office and allow all the campuses to access it over the internet.

Yes. you could. No mater, where SQL Server is located if you have its name (IP address) and have proper rights you could access it.
