Both announcements were done in a proper way (proper media) .. but further explanations no. Mind that there´s live outside UT and Foxite, many developers still are asking the why (including me, I did't read all the messages here). I don't suppose that a group manager reply can be official for replying in private forums.

A open to the air reply via YAG's blog would be fine. Thing that wasn't done.
