Funny. I had a similar situation. My 11 YO (primary school) did her work on the PC. I'd bought a new B&W replacement cartridge for my Epsom, but it didn't work. So she took the work in on a floppy, but didn't get access to the IT suite, then the teacher lost the disk, trhen I had to copy it to another, but by this time a week had passed and the teacher didn't seem too fussed - none of this marking down malarkey.

She had completed her paper on time, which is not always the case, and then when she went to print it the printer wouldn't work. She called me in a panic and asked what she should do. I said copy it onto a diskette and take it in. Later that day she called back to say her teacher wouldn't accept it on diskette and marked her down two grades on the project. Stoopid! Allie did the work. It wasn't her fault that the printer chose that moment in time to die. And it wasn't "the dog ate my homework" because it was right there on diskette. Grrrr. There are some good teachers, plenty of them, and then others who need to be put out to pasture.
