David,

I appreciate your serious attempt to recall all 'signs' one more time and give some advices. Some of the advices I agree on, others not, but that can be expected in a democracy, right? So, let's not argue about them here. That has been done the past week here enough. And enough is enough.

Two issues remain:

David: It seems to me that perhaps you want more statements from Microsoft so that you can continue to argue, but I certainly could be wrong about that

Although I don't run away if someone wants to have a debate, and although I also like to start debates from time to time, in this case I had (and have) no intention to start a debate with MS. I only sought official information as to the WHYs. It is another topic whether such reasons are experienced by 'us' as valid, but that is an eventual discussion between others than MS here, if they do not want to participate. I was not in for a fight with MS, and I'm still not in for it.

David: I really do think you already have all the information you need to make your decisions

I'm beginning to get the idea that there is actually a quite wide gap between those in the inner circle and the others. I appreciate what you've done in the past to inform the outsiders. But please realize that even your information has most of the times been from hear say and unofficial. There's a big diference from hearing Ken Levy tell something while having a dinner together and reading some predictions in a magazine made by an editor or on a forum like the UT.

My decision making should be based on official statements, rather than on rumors. (Rumors can be very true, but how does one know for sure?)
Groet,

Constructive frustration is the breeding ground of genius.
If there’s no willingness to moderate for the sake of good debate, then I have no willingness to debate at all.
Let's develop superb standards that will end the holy wars.
