OTOH, good design obviates the need. Don't let your mental model dictate your approach, or you'll forever be pounding screws.

It'll never use the containership model I think you're looking for. That was considered and rejected at an architectural level. Inheritance is coming (COM+), but no one currently using the tool really cares.
