Well, it finally happened to me – my computer (the one with all the bells and whistles you could imagine) gave up the ghost. Three years old – obsolete motherboard, obsolete video card, obsolete memory, obsolete power supply – etc. Where have I been? Technology is an evil that some of must live with. I have had hard drives go but never a motherboard. Power on - nada!

I ran Windows XP Professional on the dead machine. Visual Studio 2005 and SQL Server 2005, were installed about a month ago. Now I can only purchase a computer that has Windows Vista Operating system.

Can someone tell me which version of Vista has IIS? I know that Visual Studio 2005 does not require IIS for ASP.NET development, “except for some functions”. With my luck without IIS, I will be creating an ASP.NET that needs it! :)
