People are always telling me I don't look like I'm in my 40s, but I know I do. Friday night when I picked my daughter up at the Lacross game, I overheard some teenage boys telling Haley that her mom is hot. I got a smile out of that. When Haley got in the car, she told me (not realizing I had heard anyway) and she continued: 'See mom, now if only you didn't dress so old!' I am a constant embarrassment to her these days. Such is the life of a parent. I cannot be seen or heard or I embarrass her. :o) I'm tempted to cover my face in green gook and put on an old lady's bathrobe and slippers the next I pick her and her friends up. :o) Lines and bags under the eyes are the suretell sign. :o) That's okay. I still feel good. :o) Haha!!! Great story. I wonder how a daughter feels when friends say her mom is hot, as opposed to how a son feels if friends say the same thing.
Last year I heard a song on the radio with lyrics that killed me...it went something like "Stacy's mom has got it going on"....I laughed hysterically.
Nah, I wouldn't do the bathrobe thing - do the
opposite. That'll be the talk of Haley's school for at least a week. ;)
Different question - how far is Greensboro from Winston Salem? (i'm too lazy to check mapquest). I have a friend who lives there....his kids go to Wake Forest and he's a huge WF fan.
