>>So when does your book come out? <g>
>>
>>That was not said sarcastically. You have a really clear way of writing that is accessible to novices and has enough technical meat in it that non-novices can learn something, too. You definitely have a great .NET book in you.
>>
>>In my humble the only hard decisions you have to make are what audience to target -- despite what I said way back there in the previous paragraph <g> it is hard to to satisfy all audiences at once -- and what agent to choose. Bundle up this post along with some others of yours you don't think were too bad, ask some .NET authors you respect which agents they are with (and why), and go to town! Everyone here knows you can do it.

>Wow, Mike! Thanks for the vote of confidence. But, writing a book is not easy to do (nor is it much fun). I personally don't have first hand experience with it, but I *do* have personal experience with those who have ... contracts and deadlines have a way of creeping up, causing one to spend too many nights and weekends writing. So, no thanks ... I think I'll pass on this one. <g>

No problem. I wasn't trying to talk you into taking on a project you don't want. You are clear eyed enough to be skeptical about the +/- of investing your time in a book. All I meant was you can write a book if you want to. Your technical writing is better than a high 90s percentage of what is out there on the market. (Selling, making money).
And with that I will shut up.
