The code was not recyclable. I did little in VB 6, but from what I did do, it required a lot of rewrites. There are several links on MSDN for performing code upgrades:

It appears both VB6 and VFP now have the same future support plans at MS. Work going on now to get them to work well with Vista. But nothing firm beyound that.
