I'm surprised that this editor, as well as others (e.g. Mary Jo Foley), thinks that MS will gonna make VFP open source. The promise by Alan Griver to open source the environment (the Sedna promise) is misinterpreted as meaning that the source code itself is open sourced.

Oh well, maybe it'll turn out to be a self fullfilling prophecy.

It appears that Alan Griver also mentioned the 64-bit requirement to imply a complete rewrite. That fits well with one of the hunches I mentioned.
