Your blogg is not accessible, so I'm not able to view your solution. But I want to make some remarks here in advance:

1. Don't confuse SET ORIENTED vs RECORD ORIENTED with SQL-SERVER vs VFP. The discussion is focused on SET ORIENTED vs RECORD ORIENTED. Both SQL-server and VFP support the two in more or lesser degree.

2. Please keep in mind that your solution might be scoped only to a SQL2005 T-SQL solution as really has not any bearing in any other RDBMS.

It would be interesting to see the degree of SET ORIENTED of your solution, but I suspect you overlooked the issue of my arguments and implemented a RECORD ORIENTED solution combined with a SET ORIENTED one, which would prove my point. I'd be able to do the same with a UDF function in SQL2000 as well.
