Yes, that's the thinking. My current workhorse (which is not the one Vista is installed on) is only a year old. I like to keep them 3-4 years so it will be a while before I expect to upgrade.

I'm running XP at work because that's what corp. is supporting, but they will begin phasing in Vista later this year as current PCs are replaced. I'm scheduled to replace my current laptop in September and should get one with Vista.
