In general you will find out that VFP is hardly Foxpro anymore. Much of the wisdom we acquired before does not apply. Also rules of the thumb are obsolete.
The main difference is that contrary to FPD, you must plan your work much better. You cannot use the Quick and Dirty approach and refine later. Something that is dirty in the first place remains dirty and will haunt you until you fix it. And forget about Quick.
