I am upgrading some C++/MFC applications that I have that in the past used ODBC to transfer data into databases, mostly VFP databases, but sometimes ACCESS or EXCEL.

Since MS no longer supports ODBC for VFP9, I have been looking into using OLEDB.

ODBC Data Source Administrator was a very convenient tool that allowed users to setup databases that could be used with my program.

Is there anything similar for OLEDB?

I notice that various MS applications, e.g. Excel and VS2005 have wizards that allow the user to configure data sources. Are those wizards available as stand-alone apps?

Also, I note that MS is urging developers to avoid using UDL files for specificying data sources because of security concerns.

I don't want to reinvent the wheel if such a Data Source Configuration Wizard is already available.
