It's very easy to figure out why Cubans (or Bulgarians) tend to vote Republicans.
In regard to long border: there is a very simple way to rebut this argument. Go back 100 years and see how many Mexicans went to America that time, and find the difference between those years and now. It will not be the length of the border.
